Dance with Glinka Friday Nights @ the de Young Museum
Dance coach and choreographer, Cynthia Glinka, hosted the deYoung Museum's opening of its 10th season of Friday Nights at the deYoung Museum in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. An after-hours art "happening" that included swing style instruction, live music and dance. Dance with Glinka led a sea of students learning tips and tricks - swing style - on the dance floor. Attendance broke records with 2500 guests. Thrilling!

2007-2008
Dance "Fever" Sweeps 700+ Students @ Mill Valley Middle School
Dance fever swept Mill Valley Middle School as 6th, 7th and 8th graders completed a unique 5-week dance course taught by celebrated dance coach and choreographer Cynthia Glinka. Glinka taught 700+ students the Swing, Fox Trot and Rumba. The program culminated with the entire school performing a DISCO line dance on the outdoor court, followed by a lunch-hour dance in the gym with music provided by the Mill Valley Middle School Jazz Band. Bravo - Mill Valley Middle School Students !! We're so proud of you as we were all in step - disco style.

Filmed in San Francisco, SWING uses the universal appeal of dance to bridge two worlds: the seen and the unseen . . . the material and the spiritual . . . the real and the imagined. The story is about the pursuit of a dream, the quest for true love and the healing of an American family, woven artfully together in a movie filled with wonderful characters, music and dance, SWING-STYLE.

Pop, Shake & Shout Mob Dance @ Mill Valley Middle School
700+ Mill Valley Middle School students participated in a spirited mob dance tribute to Michael Jackson. The mass performance took place outside on the blacktop at Mill Valley Middle School. Led by choreographer Cynthia Glinka, the kids showcased the dance moves they learned in just 4, one-hour sessions under Glinka's expert tutelage. In addition to the dance routine on the outdoor court, the students spun, stepped, and whirled in a lunch-hour dance in the gym, exhibiting partner social dances which the students learned from Glinka. Live music was provided by the Mill Valley Middle School Jazz Band.
